Squirrels OCCUPY Parc La Fontaine

Indicators have shown that the squirrels of Montreal's Parc La Fontaine have begun to congregate to form something they are calling "OCCUPY PARC La FONTAINE." While engaging in a collective and democratic discourse, the exact intention of the squirrel movement remains uncertain.

A white cloaked squirrel, commonly referred to as "the White Rat" has become a prominent spokesperson for the movement. (While this might sound like a derogatory heading, keep in mind that squirrels operate within a different social stratification and may aspire towards the lifestyle habits of rats as opposed to classifying them as "vermin.")

He attests that their operative is multifaceted, though they mutually agree on feeling subjugated by the human population. This includes human lack of consideration to the park's natural inhabitants, willful human manipulation of the minority squirrel population, and the complete disregard of squirrel traffic by cyclists on transit routes.
